38 degrees celcius.

Yesterday was half good and half bad.

Let's deal with the bad.
My lips decided to bleed before choir started. And I don't even know why. I didn't even bite myself or what. And blood doesn't taste too good yknow. Then during dinner I laughed till my insides hurt and I ended up with a terrible splitting headache and a slight fever.

I hate it when things hit me abruptly and I don't even know why.

And that applies to a lot of other occurences in my daily life right now. I don't get why you're two-faced and I haven't been able to come to terms with that. Nobody around me does anyway.

On a happier note, I helped to save a relationship today between two people and I am proud of myself because I know that if I didn't invest time and energy in it I'd have to deal with it's repercussions in the near future.

And we had Karen's birthday celebration over dinner last night. It was good fun but I felt like shite after everything. Pictures another time, I need to sleep now before 2 people kill me.

I must get onto the road of recovery!

Culled from nothing at all...

There are just too many people watching, I can feel their eyes on me. It hasn't even started and I already wish it to be over. I don't want to go through with it just because I think I have to, or just because there is noone else better to take it into his hands. Someone tell me why I am doing this and who I am doing this for. Someone give me a reason, just one will do. Sometimes I feel the support that is provided is all but nothing. You all just don't wish to see me fall from above.

Yesterday was Friday & Today is Saturday

Friday was a no school day and I met up with Jon, Charlotte and Louis! We had popiah (omg it's a habit that is kicking in) and we were still kinda recovering from the post-concert-hangover. We walked over to the esplanade rooftop garden place and sat around plucking grass for quite awhile while this couple engaged in P.D.A. the entire time. The guy was in uniform and they couldn't stop kissing each other while random tourists/families/little children enjoyed the marvelous city skyline of Singapore while they just stood there making out, oblivious to their surroundings. I was that close to shouting get a room.

Then suddenly we heard drumbeats from below. Some really funny french men were drumming away and they were really good. We ran down to see them after that, and during the last part they gave out drumsticks to the people watching em and we got to hit the drums too! After that it was Thai express for dinner and then more great music and great company (: We got to hear Mathilda d'silva sing and she was really damn good. Too bad Brandon, Martin, Roy and Sylvia couldn't join us! I had such a great day yesterday.

Today I woke up early and it was all because my lips were bleeding terribly. The ulcers are recovering but they're still hanging around. And more have sprouted on the underside of my tongue. Sigh ): Anyways I got quite a bit of GPP done with my group at Marine parade library and then it was lunch with Prasanna, Karen and Hector at Katong. Mum was just telling me that she's been driving along Katong very frequently recently cos of me and I was telling her that I love the area very much. I'd always walk past our old house on Kuo chuan avenue and think back to the wonderful childhood memories. Nostalgia! Besides, food around there is always good.
Tomorrow is study day before the much-awaited GP exam on Monday (hurhur) I'm looking forward to post-GP-exam because I've so much in store for me!

Till then!

Welcome to Penny Lane!

La Risonanza IV was great, I must say. We outdid ourselves and enjoyed singing on the stage. Though I'm sure every single one of us had to overcome our own obstacles along the way, we really put in all we could for this concert given the short timespan, and we pulled through! Good job everyone I'm so happy cos everyone's happy.

I've got shitloads of photos of us clowning around, us backstage in our retro outfits, and us taking a jump shot in which Roy had to expose his lucky red underwear to prove his point.

Enjoy :)

I shall keep this space happy for the sake of it.

What shall I name this post?

Saturday was nice. I want more days to be like Saturday. I love the people around me and I love choir practices. We got blasted at initially, but after some bitching (by Mr Kwei, not us!), everyone's mood lifted and for the first time, everyone was enjoying making music and grooving to it somemore! The pianist came and banged away (he was super good lah!) and we kept doing communist actions while marching away to the chinese tune.

The concert is in 3 days' time. I hope I have the strength to pull through this last week of intensive practices and that we pull off a really good show for everyone.

Sunday was superb too. Mum brought me out and we shopped and had popiah. And then we headed to grandma's for curry. The mother-son bonding session was worth it. And I am glad mum had time to take a break from her work. She brought Cheyenne out on Saturday night and they had a mother-daughter bonding session too. And they had spageddies without me!

I can't wait for this week to be over, because it'd mean the holidays are here and choir practices would be cut down, and that she'd be back from being away.

And it's the 21st of May. Happy Birthday, Roxanne! (:

The Comeback!

My Blogger finally allows me to come into this "Create" page and not show some default error irieghwg gibberish. Which explains why I've not been blogging since the 6th of May, which was a really long time ago.

Everyday's been choir day it almost seems like it's never going to end. So much so that I decided that I needed a break and pontanged school today! I was just really tired and there are 5 ulcers in my mouth. I hate them and they have to come plague me right before concert week. I hate the ulcers i feel like chopping my mouth off and by Sunday if they don't get better I am going to rub salt into them so that they will burn and sting so badly they'd be sorry for making me have them at all.

For the past couple of days I've been battling ulcers, stressful choir pracs and a total of 3 tests. Life hasn't been very kind though, so I really hope that this phase quickly passes and I get better before the concert.

And and... I need a life!

Bundle of joy.

Finally, a baby who loves being carried by me! This is my youngest cousin, and I saw her just yesterday at dinner. It was her one-year-old birthday celebration, and I was playing some hit-the-table-with-your-hands game with her. She was really amused by it. And when I took out my camera, she was so excited because she saw herself on the screen. She was so comfortable in my arms that she decided to lie down and prop her legs up!

Celebrating Hidayah's Birthday

We celebrated Hidayah's 17th birthday one day later at Cartel on Friday night.
It was great catching up with everyone. I am glad that we've got the time to see each other even though we're all busy with school and other things. And we had good fun bitching about Dunman's self-appointed student conductor, updating each other with the latest gossips, and listening to Jia Yu speak korean. Her korean has improved to longer sentences but we still have no clue as to what she's trying to say.

Anyway, pictures!

Something worth mentioning.

"oh... and andre looked the same... nvr change lor... daya looked more pretty... inez looks tired... but she now looked more grown up... more mature... and jy is like the same old auntie..."

I just got this off Shing's blog... and I find it funny how he commented 'bout how different (or similar) we look now, haha.

The Poor Cow

+

Amie, he sang.

Hey there.

Monday was a shitty day in school and choir. Felt really lousy after everything, but least I had something to look forward to. Karen and I cabbed down to simpang after everything in school ended to meet up with Edwin, WanTing, Taariq and Pras. And we dinnered together. It was nice catching up and bitching and bimboing.

Then after that we went home to bathe and met again at changi airport, with the exception of Pras. We got there at midnight and mugged all the way till 7am in the morning. I was awake the entire morning while the rest dozed off a couple of times along the way. I don't know but I felt it was effective for me! Like I could get everything done properly without being distracted.

After studying it was burger king for breakfast and then we headed home again to bathe and then we met yet again for the Leadership training camp meeting. This time there was Pras but no Edwin, haha. Anyways, for this year's Ltc I am placed inj the Sea Act department! With Raj and Melyssa! It's gonna be really fun.

The meeting ended and then Raj, Karen, Pras and I went towning. There was supposed to be so many things to buy but in the end they went home empty handed but I got myself a tshirt. Which means less money for the month of may already.

Then I finally went home and zonked out because I was super tired. The next two days in school were equally tiring, I slept at 10plus on both nights. Today's thursday, and there's no choir today. It feels really weird to not have choir. And it'll make you cranky. Charlotte and I hung around talking till 6pm today before we finally decided to get our lazy asses up and on the way home.

And today's Hidayah's 17th birthday! If I didn't have school tomorrow (and a whole list of deadlines to meet) I'd have wanted to bring you for this exclusive screening of Spiderman 3 that I have tickets to! So wasted!

Things to look forward to this weekend and after: Final choir Syf pracs, Hidayah's birthday celebration, shopping with emobimbos, Syf competition performance.

Alright. Pray hard that mj choir can secure a gold okay. If not it'd be terribly sad.
