Happy Birthday, Edwina! NO, its Edwin!

I'm not exactly a workaholic, people who know me can agree with me about that. I'm like the laziest ass around. And Grandma always says that Snakes are lazy, because my chinese zodiac sign is the Snake. I don't know if its her fear of snakes on the whole or what.

But I've really been working my ass off since school started. Okay, thats like only 2 days but yeah, I've got so much work to be done, and I've actually done quite a lot already. Apparently, a lot is not enough, and there are already like 9 items on my "List of Homeworks".

Everyday we get a new E Maths paper to be completed. Everyday we get a new English Compre to be completed. Everyday we have A Maths tests.

Well, at least for the last 2 days.

And I've absolutely flunked both A Maths tests. I don't know how. The humiliation is not really helping although I thought it would. Grrrr...

The O levels Chinese oral is like this Thursday! Which is like tomorrow?! And I will be like the first person in the entire school to take the oral exams. I am so going to freak out on that day!

I think Brazil just scored, can hear the shouting outside my window. Sigh. If only I didn't have school, I'd be watching every soccer match. If only... if only...

Prasanna, Taariq and I were talking about how girls names are really just guys names with the letter "a" added behind. A perfect example would be Edwin and Edwina. See! Its that simple! Just add an "a" at the back and your gender can change. Hurhur.

And speaking about Edwin, HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY!!!

Although you're faraway in Perth, I haven't forgotten! Its sad that we can't celebrate your birthday with you, but we will when you return eventually! Here's wishing you a really good time in Australia! Hope you bring back lotsa wonderful memories to share with us!

Back to the name topic we were talking about earlier. Apparently, Prasanna is a guy's name in Northern India, but a girl's name in Southern India. And Prasanna, our dear friend, is really a girl on the outside and a man deep within!

We were hypothesizing how the nice name 'Prasanna' can be names for both genders in different parts of India. Was it the location factor? Or the difference in languages? I concluded that a dude by the name of Prasanna must have left Northern India for Southern India. During the course of his long journey, he miraculously changed into a she, and that was how Prasanna came to be known as a dudette in Southern India.

Makes sense?

This reminds me of a travel show I watched a long time ago. It was a bag packing trip thing and the hosts were on the way to Agra in India, in the midnight train. There were these transvestites who went around the train cabins offering sex for money and they were so hot and bothered they kissed the male actor voluntarily. And they even refused to leave when the actor said he wasn't for cheap thrills. Literally.

How scary can it be to be stuck in a foreign land in a dinghy train with only your companion for the long journey and getting kissed by women who are really men? Hmmm, moreover, maybe his/her name is Prasanna?

Oh no, Pras I think you will kill me after you read this! Ha! This is for calling me disgusting in class almost everyday!

Kays, I shall turn in now. Goodnights.

I've got bad nose leaks...

Someone pass me some tampons!!!

Grrrr. I am down with a blardy cold the day before school resumes. My nose just can't stop running. I've relocated the 150 sheets of White Facial Tissues 2 ply into my room for convenience sake. The prettay little box even has sakura blossoms all over it. Hur, and it reads Gong Xi Fa Cai, which is a really long time back.

Mum gave me 3 maroon coloured pills. They don't seem to be taking effect on me as yet. I am starting to get worried about my health.

Okay, let's digress.

The books I borrowed from the library are due like in a week's time. I borrowed this book entitled Maya by Norweigian writer Jostein Gaarder. I read like the Prologue and the first bit and I didn't wanna go on. I guess its too... philosophical for me. I read The Christmas Mystery by the same author some time back, but it was a good read.

Now I'm left with Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake. Some whimsical tale. But I am like so lazy to open it and read even a line.

The week ahead is gonna be one hell of a week for me man. I've got undone work, of course, and 2 or more approaching tests lah. And tuitions. Sigh.

Cheyenne just passed me her butterfly print bolster in exchange for my blue bolster. She insists that she prefers mine 'cos its softer, and plus her bolster needs softening. Right.

Soccer Fever at MacDonalds

It was such a last minute decision. I had just gotten out of the bath and it was exactly 10:30pm. We packed our snacks and picked aunt Joanne and Joey up from their home and headed over to Macdonalds.

When we got there, it was exceptionally packed. Expected. Everyone's chairs were turned to face the widescreen that perched on the wall at the far end of the fast food outlet. We managed to squeeze past people at the entrance doors and found a spot situated directly in front of the screen. We gathered a few more chairs from the area and settled down.

And that was when the match started. Just in time.

I guess the majority of the crowd there were Germany supporters. But I was hoping for Sweden to win! (If I'm not wrong, Sweden is higher than Germany in the FIFA ranking? Correct me if I'm wrong) I think Germany played a really good game, so it was well deserved that they had won in the end. So now Germany would face Argentina in their next match, would they pull through yet again?

The crowd at Macdonalds were not bad. Except for that irritating pudgy boy who kept asking and asking and asking questions. Dumb, stupid questions like Why is the little flag at the corner there able to bend over ah? And his Dad would ignore him because he's too caught up in the game (or maybe too embaressed to even answer). And then he'd start whining Daddy why everytime lidat one... I ask question then you nod your head... You don't bother much one!!?? Then after that his Mum would have to pacify him while he fires up another round of silly questions. And his mother! His mother is like the running live commentary for the soccer match! She'd explain in such vivid detail every single rule/regulation that has been flouted. Like the penalties and how the penalty kick works and the yellow cards and the red cards and the sent offs. She just went on and on and on and mind you, her voice wasn't very soft okay.

I really enjoyed myself! Aunt Jo was like Eh next Saturday free a not? Lets do this again!

I've got bad nose bleeds...

I'm starting to get worried. I've been waking up in the mornings to really serious nose bleeds yesterday and today. The bleeding is profuse; it just goes on and on and refuses to stop whatever it is.

I hope its just me not drinking enough water and resting early enough. I don't wanna be like Channing Tatum as Duke in She's the Man, who results to shoving tampons up his nostrils to stop the bleeding! Ha!

Choir Camp 2006

Day One

The Sec 4s went into camp together at around 9 plus at night. When we got there, the juniors were already halfway through Les Choristes and we caught the ending of it. After that it was already lights out for them so we decided to go to the atrium and we played Twister by ourselves. We challenged each other and did eliminations, and Ya Kai was the winner for the guys, and Yanni was the winner for the girls, but we still didn't get to determine who was the Ultimate Twister Champion. Here's some snaps of how it looked like at the Girls' Challenge. As usual, it wasn't very sightly!

Ya Kai as Spinner

Girls' Challenge

Yanni and Hidayah
Tsui San

She kept saying she was put in too many weird Kama Sutra positions

Then we grew hungry, so it was finally time to order pizza. It came quickly and we made many hungry people around us drool! Nyahahaha. See, thats the privilege you get as a senior!

Hawaiian and Barbeque Pizzas

The girls

After pizza it was time for the Guys' Challenge, which Ya Kai won!

Ya Kai had to stand on his head!

Not easy!

It was between him and I

But I literally rolled out of the competition!

Then the girls played again. And this time Spinner was Shing Chun, who tried his very best to put all of them in super compromising positions.

Yet another round of Kama Sutra!

See what I mean!

Watch Tsui San stretch!

Jia Yu and Hidayah

After that we were all too tired out to continue playing Twister, s
o we didn't really get to see who was the Ultimate Twister Champion! What a shame man.. but then we adjourned to the Surfin-in Room, our 'bedroom' for the next 2 nights for card games! Played Cheat/Bluff (whatever you call it) and also dai di, which I won quite a few rounds in!

Ya Kai

Card Games

Jer Yuan!?

Yan Ping and Jia Yu

I didn't sleep the entire first night! We continued to play cards till 5 in the morning. But here are some shots of sleepy juniors who were knocked out in the surfin-in room
.

Day 2

That very morning Hidayah and I went for a little walk around the place and groups were already up as early as 5am to begin their last minute Talentime Preparations. Listening in to most of the groups, I really felt that many were not bad as compared to the previous Talentimes I've participated in myself.

Right after that they had PT. I think I saw something like The aim is to toughen up the juniors or something in the schedules. Nyahahah. Whatever it is, we didn't have to do it!

Indecisive people settling breakfast place

So the 9 of us Sec 4s went outa school for our breakfast. We went across to the prata place and settled down. And it started to pour like shit. Hidayah tried to take orders from the prata waiter guy but he didn't really understand. She didn't really unde
rstand too, so she had to repeat our orders to him again slowwwwly.

Then finally he got it right. And I told them all this prata joke I heard from my friend: You don't say egg prata, you gotta say yegg prata instead!

It was damn funny, and we all cracked up. And they all started to worry that we wouldn't get outa the prata place in one piece 'cos we'd all be beaten up by the yegg prata man. Shing Chun was being so funny, putting y in front of every e word! I know we were kinda mean and making fun of the accent, but it was all just for laughs!

So the kosong pratas and the yegg pratas finally arrived and we ate ate ate. Shing and I decided to take things one step further by asking the prata waiter to SAY 'yegg'. So we asked him what the prata being served was (although it obviously looked like yegg prata) And guess what? We heard him say the golden words! From the horse's mouth! He said yegg prata! And all of us chortled away in between gulps of teh tarik and morsels of yegg prata. nyahahahYEGGhahahahha.

The rain got heavier and we couldn't go back to school 'cos we didn't wanna get drenched. So we decided to wait it out at the prata shop. I don't really know what everyone else was doing, but I dozed off. It was so comfortable in the prata shop. With the wind and everything. In between my sleep I heard Yan Ping talking 'bout her shit or something. Swear I wasn't dreaming.

So then we went back to school after the rained subsided, and it was so freaking cold we were shivering outside. We joined in their Rotational Games and did some sabo-ing with water bombs.

She asked for it.

After the rotational games it was Talentime preps. The Sec 4s got together for the last time to rehearse and we were kinda satisfied with our progress. Soon Talentime started and the groups were all really hilarious and creative, but I don't wanna post up the pics here lah.. too many! I really enjoyed myself and there were really great songs being sung that night. Ding Sheng and Bryan were really fabulous hosts for the Talentime! They made us laugh like mad! Great job to all!

Then it was the Sec 4s performance. I must say it didn't come off as well as we expected it to be, but looking back at our performance video, I think it wasn't as bad as I thought. I was really damn pessimistic that night, and somewhat demoralised. And I kept asking the gang like how was it and all. Constantly worrying 'bout it. But I've come to realise that its really nothing much and it doesn't matter anymore and its over and all. So don't
fret and look forward to more good stuff!

Talentime ended and the best groups were announced. After that it was time for the Night Activities. Hidayah and I followed the Banana Split group around and got to see them play half the stations. They were not bad, and Hidayah and I were having some fun. Halfway through, we decided to give up 'cos we ended up sitting on the atrium sofa. Guess what man? We fell asleep there, and what was supposed to be a 15 minute nap for me became a full 3 hours!

I finally woke up and went to the atrium with Hidayah. It was then that I realised that I had missed so much Captain's Ball! Argh! But nevermind, I got to p
lay quite a few rounds. We played Bass versus Tenors. We won one and we lost one, but we never got to play the third round! Haha.. Ended up going to washup and another round of sleep at 5 plus in the morning.

Day Three

The third day wasn't anything much. We got to wake up later, around 9am, and then we saw their Prize Presentation. They announced and rewarded the best group and the most enthusiastic campers and stuff. Its good to see the support that the juniors have for each other.

And after that it was lunch time at KFC. I hung around ther
e till like 4pm? Some of us were playing cards, playing murderer, sleeping like logs... Just hanging out together lah.

This camp was really enjoyable for me, 'cos I didn't exactly have to go and sweat it out. I took a backseat and watched the juniors work hard, and have fun together. I made them jealous 'cos we ordered pizza and macs delivery and had yegg prata for
breakfast. And we got to play card games and Twister and sing songs together.

I will really miss this kinda camp!

Quips, Quotes and Quibbles #004

On a certain day during lesson that both Karen and I wanted to visit the toilet very urgently.

"I need to go to the toilet man. Super urgent."

"Hey, me too!"

"Why do we wanna pee at the same time?"

"Our sphincter muscles are communicating!"

Bloody Irritating

Today's quite a bad day, so let me bore you with the details.

I was supposed to meet Mum at 2:40pm in town. But I only left Tampines station at 2:35pm. Of course, a horrendous screaming session followed over the phone as I sat in the train, wincing in pain as every single word was delivered by her mouth. I had to reduce the volume of my handphone in fear of terrorising the guy sitting next to me. It was that bad.

I had miscalculated the time, and worst still, I was supposed to meet her to catch a movie which started at 2:55pm! Two desperate and pissed off phone calls from her later, I finally got to the Lido theatres at 3:10pm. I tell you, I ran as fast as my legs could take me okay.

The moment I met her, she was cursing at me under her breath until we sat down for the movie. I was already red in the face. Bloody embaressing, bloody fucked up and all. I felt so much like walking out on her at that very moment. My imaginative mind pictured myself thrusting the tickets into her face while shouting some obscene profanity and stomping off in style. But that was not to be, of course. I would have been mad if I did that, sheer anger in the heat of the moment. That would have to be shooting myself in the foot, 'cos suddenly I reminded myself of the Asics shoes she was gonna get me later on. (Hahahaha I know that sounds bad and all but thats all that comes to mind when you're angry right?!)

Well, what to do? I just sucked it all in and shut it all out.

Yup, we watched She's The Man. It was kinda weird at first because we were so damn pissed with each other, and yet Amanda Bynes (disguised as her brother) was talking about tampons on the big screen. It was not only about tampons lah okay, 'she' was like teaching 'her' roomie, a guy, how to use tampons as effective nose bleeding 'stoppers'. As in, you shove it up your nose to stop the bleeding. Super hilarious and the cinema crowd were guffawing like mad while we just sat there seemingly unfazed and laughing deep inside.

The movie was good and I was glad it eventually did lift our spirits a little. Feel good movies rock. I believe they're able to heal relationships. Anyways, we walked over to Wheelock, where I had another bad turn in my almost-destroyed day. The pair of Asics Onitsuka Tiger white-green shoe that I had been eyeing all this while, they didn't have my size! I was so freaking pissed and all and Mum wasn't helping either. She gave me that so-what-you-want-me-to-do-for-you look. So I was like Forget it! and we got out of the store.

Well Mum wasn't in luck either. She couldn't get her size for the Adidas shoes she wanted and also the wedges from this other store. Boo...

We then headed home after that 'cos we had a dinner date with Dad and Cheyenne. It's Father's Day, remember? Dad decided we'd go to Changi Village and check out the place. We ended up at this place called The Terminal which is a charming little restaurant by the ferry terminal. Ahaha, what an unoriginal name. They serve Chinese and Western food and they were quite full today. So we didn't really have a choice but to settle at the Bar side which was much darker but definitely less crowded.

Due to the large crowd and Father's Day celebrations, we had to wait quite awhile for our dishes. We had calamari and wedges as sides, and more Chinese stuff too. It was worth the wait! And I'm glad Dad enjoyed himself. I had my first taste of Around the World, a really tasteful cocktail. Mum really liked it but I didn't really fancy it. Its sorta tangy. Pineapple and rum and vodka and gin and who knows what they put inside.

Think my lousy day ended on a good note. Fortunately for me. Tomorrow would be a day of studying before going to school at night for choir camp. I really can't wait!

Gadgets and Reponsibilities

I don't know why but I've just realised that with the possession of your very own camera, it suddenly becomes your responsibility that the people around you get the photos they took/they are in. I know this might not exactly be a daunting task but its such a great responsibility!

The thrill of just disseminating the newest, most recent photos I've uploaded into my computer and making sure that people get what they need in time is such a responsibility to me. And I'm finding it fun! If the person is unable to be reached by Messenger, then there's always the reliable alternatives of burning a CD or using my trusty little Thumbdrive (what Karen would mistaken as Thumbnail instead) If all else fails, there'd surely be a way out.

Photos are the medium that our most memorable experiences would be captured in. Its true. Even Dad told me one day that the generations after would be really lucky to be able to enjoy their past through the careful collections of of photos and what nots today. Its like during his time, they didn't get to enjoy the luxury and privilege of owning a camera, and hence many worthwhile memories were lost as time went by. Simply put, they were left to just fade away.

So, treasure your photos while you have them! Keep them safe and organise them nicely. Most of all, share them with the people around you!

I've been having trouble with some computer shit nowadays. My computer's seriously lacking in space and I have to clear up much unwanted stuff in all the little nooks and crannys in the disk drives. Very frustrating. I really hope Mum can help me rectify this incessant problem really soon.

A rather different blog entry today, 'cos I've been glued to my com for a few hours now, trying to re-organise and arrange my files. Too many songs and photos clogging up my computer lah. Did some strategic planning on space consumption and decided that it'd be best if I placed all my songs (especially the bulk of the lousy songs) in my mp3 first, before deciding to delete anything from the computer proper.

After which, I'd burn all the songs into CDs so as to minimise the space usage issue as back-up. But, the bloody problem is, my CD drive simply refuses to Eject. Bloody hell, man. I tried like, 156934 times and it still refuses to budge. Sigh...

For now, the lack of space issue is at a standstill and I am charging my mp3 in the meantime. Mum's thinking of getting the new mp3 (is it Sony?) that boasts the ability of being able to be charged in just 3 minutes. Sounds cool? I wonder if it really works man... its really compact and handy though.. like a Thumbdrive lah.. and it comes in quite a few nice, vibrant colours you'd be spoilt for choice. But of course, which mp3 comes in more colours than the Creative Zen Micro, which comes in a myriad of simply deletable colours?

I'm not a really big mp3 fan though, well thats 'cos I don't really have the time and opportunities to fully utilise my Zen Neeon. Mum won it in a lucky draw and she gave it to me so yeah, thats how I got it. I was actually promised an iPod Nano if I did well for my exams. But I didn't, and thats an entirely different story althogether.

I've noticed the increasingly common imitations of the ever-popular iPod range of mp3s outside. And even the Creative ones are also getting mimicked by other lesser known mp3 brands. The familiar glossy black and white casings and the usual sleek and handy shapes, definitely screaming Copycat! and its not that hard to notice, you know?

Hrrrm. I'm still contented with my really slow and laggy Zen Neeon though. It doesn't matter ah. I'm really looking forward to getting my new handphone really really soon. Hope Dad finally gets his ass up and get me the Motorola V3i that I've been eyeing. And then he'd use my phone. Hahaha.. I know this would sound kinda dumb.. but this new handphone for me is for improving my Chem and Physics grades to B4.. after a year and a half of arduous struggles that almost seemed impossible... Yay.

There're really so many gadgets out there for us humans to enjoy, yet are they really taking over our lives without our realisation?

I Am Back!

Yes, it has been such a long time since my last entry over here. I've been checking back frequently just to see if anyone has tagged or if the hit counter has actually risen or not, and I feel so mean when there aren't any urges to blog at all.

I've been away on the Leadership Training Camp as a Facilitator this time. Lots to say 'bout this camp but I feel lazy. To recall the events and emotions and put it all down over here. Lazy.

And I've been attending lessons every single bloody day since the "school holidays". Teachers are all rushing to finish up the syllabus and start revision when term resumes. Its taking so much of my energy! Its like I come home and I fall flat down on my bed and just sleep. And the fatigue's really really bad, especially since the camp, have to deal with the lack of sleep and all that.

So this post is really just a really random, and abrupt, update on my boring-as-usual life. And unknowingly, the "school holidays" has crept past us, under all our noses, for 2 whole weeks already! 2! So much precious time has been lost, yet I don't feel the push and the kick to start with serious work. I'm saying serious 'cos there hasn't been any intensive studying so far. I mean, I've been diligently doing up my homework and all that, but everything else is just lost somewhere in my brain.

So besides LTC, and the everyday-go-to-school-as-usual thing, there's really been nothing much going on in my life. Well, choir camp's on the way, and its great that we can be back to laugh at people and make them envious of us. Hahahaha. And also sing again! Oh I can't wait to be able to sing again. I'm really missing that part of my life so much.

Man. Life's really such a bore without vacations. Mum's bogged down with work and conflicting schedules and thats why nobody is going for any holiday this month of June. Hur. Don't even ask about me. I've only got like the last week of the "school holidays" left to rest well and eat well and shit well.

Yet, I can't wait for the India Bagpack Trip Dad promised after O's. But still, thats if I actually work my ass off and do well lah.

Karen's 16th Birthday Bash

I've been wanting to blog about this for such a freaking long time but I haven't had the oppurtunity to all this while! So here it is now! Off my back, finally!

*

The day before Karen's Birthday, which was the 29th of May, we had a little stayover at my place. There was Melyssa, Taariq, Wan Ting, and of course, Karen! We were just hanging out in my room and talking, waiting for time to pass, waiting for 12 midnight to finally arrive.

Then at 12 sharp, Karen was already blindfolded with a bandana and her hands were bound up tightly with a leather belt. For a moment she looked like some bondage victim. And they killed the lights in my room, so it was pitch dark. So then we brought in a Mango Cake, candles lit up and sang a song for her.

I guess she saw that coming, but there was definitely an element of surprise lah. Then we presented her with her presents. Lotsa orange stuff: Mel gave an orange notebook, Ting gave an orange tote and an orange novel, I gave her an orange water bottle. Taariq hadn't gotten her a present yet, and Eirene wasn't around that night. Well, Eirene did call at 12 midnight and listened in to our celebration. She was just a phone. Haha!

Anyways, then after eating up the Mango Cake, Ting had to head home, while the remaining four of us had our very own Dai Di Night in my bedroom. From 1am we played till about 5am. And we had a scorecard (thats still around) to keep track of our standings and all. Mel's the pro-est of all lah okay. After too many rounds of dai di, we started to listen to songs, and the 3 of them started to dance. I was just changing tracks for them and Mel did some Lyrical thing which was so damn real. And they tried to do other dances, as seen on So you think you can dance. Had a really great time laughing at them, especially Mel who was so damn high.

We ended up sleeping at 6am and woke at 7am to bathe and go to school for the Career Guidance Seminar. We were told to dress up for the event but we didn't do that 'cos it'd have been such a hassle and all. There were quite a number of people who looked really smart and all, and of course there were people who just looked wrong no matter how hard they tried. And there was this guy who wore suspenders with a belt. Dumb shit. I think he's really a victim of trying too hard to dress to impress.

Anyway the seminar went by quickly enough, and we left for Marina after that. Another surprise lay in wait for Karen, but she didn't know our plans!
This time we were short of Ting, but Rene joined us.

So again, we blindfolded Karen, and tried to confuse (and embaress) her along the way to Sakae. She didn't know we were heading there and we kept her blindfolded the entire time.

We told her to guess where we were at, but she couldn't. She thought we were at some playground or something, and Mel was so mean to feed her some wasabi thing. For a moment, I thought Karen was about to cry already.

Then finally she guessed correct, that we were at Sakae. And her blindfolds were removed. And so we tucked in to the scrumptious food available on the conveyor belt! We had the buffet thing and we ate so much together man, we were so bloated after that. But the food that rolled out were really good!

Look at the amount of plates of sushi that we attacked man. We also had a free bowl of Udon each. There really was so much to eat!

Bowel Movements Back to Normal

So the bloody diarrhoea problem hung around for three really long days. And I am finally (shitting) well now! Glad that my bowel movements have gone back to normal and I can finally resume eating without wasting food! Its been quite a painful experience having to endure acute pains in the tummy area so very very often, and also not having the appetite to appreciate food at all.

Food, glorious food. I've been eating so much, way more than I should these few days. This indulgence in all things edible is really gonna make me put on some weight during the holidays. Not that I don't need the extra weight lah, but I feel unhealthy. How?

Ah no, the deadly sin of Gluttony. And I am falling into its diabolic vices, succumbing to its irresistable temptations. Sushi. Sashimi. Conveyor belts. Eat-all-you-can-until-you-wanna-die.
More about that another time, lah.

So Monday was Chinese Exams. Ah, the Chinese Exams man. I was suffering from a minor cold, an unstable churning-at-nothing stomach, and severe lack of sleep. To think that I went for the Exams under these unsound conditions makes me wanna flip. And cry too, at the same time.

It was kinda like a freakish nightmare actually. The Sunday night before the day of the Exams, I went to bed at 1am, thinking that I'd be so damn tired I'd definitely be knocked out in no time. But hell, was I wrong. I lay in bed from 1am till 5am. Four freaking hours!!! I just lay there, rolling about under the sheets, every now and then fidgeting away with whatever not, and then wiping my cold sweat from my forehead, and then reaching for a new tissue to blow out my leaky nose due to the cold, and then running to the toilet at 3 plus am 'cos my stomach suddenly decided to play a trick on me, and then repeating the entire sequence above again.

And whatever tactic I tried to lure myself into slumber proved futile. I counted sheep. I tried to drift my mind into some sweet memory. I tried to focus on the darkness when I closed my eyes. I buried my head under the sheets. I tried to talk to myself, convinced that convincing myself would help. But they all didn't work. Gah, sleepless nights suck!

So then finally at 5am I took my pillow and my bolster and I made my way to the hall and plonked myself on the sofa. And within 5 minutes, I was sleeping already. Bloody shit, must be some funny joke thats trying to fool me or something. Then I had to wake at 7am to prepare to go to school. And that was only 2 hours of sleep. 2 hours of sleep in preparation for my Chinese Exams. What the hell man, I was so pissed with myself and was feeling to grouchy 'bout the entire shit I had to go through before a really important day.

Sigh. What to do? I still went on and tried my best in the Exams. I'm hoping I'd pull through in the end. It'd really be remarkable!

Oh and after school I had Burger King with Karen, Priscilla, Jasmin and Taariq. Crazy people lah.. we laughed so hard at everything and anything. I was laughing so hard I wanted to shit. Well, that was because I was still having my bad stomachaches.

Then after that Karen and I watched Over the Hedge. We went in slightly late, and the bloody cinema theatre was so dark we couldn't even find out seats properly. Then we decided to not care 'bout whatever seats we had and just sat on some other seat available, by ourselves. Well, we found out later on during the show that those seats belonged to somebody else. And also that our seats had been taken by some other people! No wonder we couldn't find our damn seats!

Century's theatre just kinda screwed up lah. But the movie was such a hoot man. I must say its the corniest cartoon movie I've ever seen. Waaaaay better than the likes of Ice Age. And don't forget that its really cute too! Those little furballs walking around. Karen and I were laughing like some crazy asses, especially towards the end of the show. We were just laughing like nobody's business man, and if you were there, you'd want to smack us. Left, right, centre.

But thats because we actually understood the movie's crappy lingo. All the little kids in the cinema wouldn't laugh 'cos they clearly don't understand. They only giggle and guffaw at the lame moments and the more practical stuff. And the adults who bring the kids are either trying not to be embaressed or they totally catch no ball at all. C'mon, would you expect a 30-something man/woman to fully comprehend the good stuff? No.

So, that was why, I am telling you, and I am really sure, Karen and I were the only ones who were erupting in raucous laughter. And we enjoyed ourselves so much, the worries of a bad stomach were erased from my mind.

If you haven't caught Over the Hedge, go for it soon! Its definitely worth it if you're as corny as I am!
