I don't know.

I waited and waited, yet you didn't call. You said you would.

Something made me look forward to it today, it's like this automated response to you. It kept running through my head what to be like, what to sound like, but oh well, the time never came.

Let's see what will happen in a bit.

I'm still hanging on to that little strand of hope, even though its foolish of me and I know it, but you know I can't bear to let it go.

Haha, yeah, like yet another vague post. My mind's in a blur, sorta.

Deep Sleep

I just came back from OGL Camp yesterday afternoon at around 5pm. By 6:30pm, I hit the bed and just couldn't get up. I missed dinner, although my mum had several failed attempts at waking me up to go eat, and eventually woke up this morning at like 9am. So I actually slept for 14 hours straight, whoa. That's almost like recovering from the jetlag when I returned from Prague about a year ago, so it's quite bad.

OGL camp was alright. I wasn't very active and energetic though. That's 'cos I was still feeling unwell from the days before. Luckily I had some panadol from a caring classmate to get rid of the headache during the two days. The mass dance practices were not too bad.. I managed to get the steps right without cheating this time. And Wet & Wild was really fun because I was the ic for a really good game. CSI was a torture for me because it was quite pathetic for my group. The people were boring, there was a screw up, the whole thing was a mess, half the time I was in my own world. I was so glad that the camp ended right after that.

I made some new friends during the camp, and I think it's good to be able to talk to new people and get to know them. It's great that I was able to find people whom I think I can trust quite a bit. But then again, there always will be annoying people that you've got to bear with. There are those who talk too much, and those who just speak at the wrong moments.

So it's a Sunday and I've got nothing much to do right now. I was channel-surfing but there aren't any good programmes on tv at all. I've got quite a few pieces of homework, but I just don't feel like doing them lah.

Mm.. random picture time! It's my cousin Hong Xun posing for the camera (:

The Enigma

The recent chain of events have put me on the brink of helplessness. Coupled with the bout of exhaustion from my being unwell and the lack of sleep, I've not been able to garner strength from anywhere.

Sometimes I wonder if I am actually doing what's best for myself, or am i doing what's best for others and neglecting my best interests? Or is it the other way round. Whatever it is, I just know that I've been putting myself out there in the deep blue sea and making myself so vulnerable I don't even know it.

On a separate note, telling you about how I really felt all this while took a burden off my back. But it didn't necessarily make me happier. I just felt more bold, more courageous, more of myself than I usually am. I just wanted you to know, but is that all?

Chinese New Year

The Reunion Dinner
This year the gathering was at my place, so from morning till evening all you could hear was mum's screaming echoing off the walls. She panics and gets worked up for no apparent reasons, so imagine how pissed off I felt when I woke up on Saturday morning to her yelling. I felt so much like barging right up to her and telling her off. But I knew the consequences, and decided against it. The entire day I just lazed around and tried to shut out her random yelling and then I also had time to watch Seven Swords, some Chinese sword-fighting movie which was kinda gruesome and boring. And then the relatives all came and the cousins wanted to watch Night at the Museum so I watched it again with them, but this time, the last 10 minutes worked! Dinner was worse than usual, there was not enough roasted duck (the bloody people gave us a skinny one) and two aunties cooked the same veggies, and there was one other dish - roast chicken. I just poked around, ate less than usual, and wondered so many times why I couldn't have steamboat instead.

The First Day
We visited my paternal grandfather's to pay respect first, and then we went to two uncle's places. There wasn't anything much to do, except stuff our face with lots of goodies, but I didn't eat too much though. There are like three ulcers/sores in my mouth, and all of them are on the left side. One's on the tongue, one's on the cheek, and one's on the lower gums. It hurts so bad when I try to chew lah. Anyway that night we had abalone maggie mee for dinner, which was really nice because mum is just damn good at cooking instant noodles. And at night we went for a movie at Century, Just Follow Law. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.. in fact I think Fann Wong did a really good job. Oh and before we entered the cinema, Jack Neo himself was standing outside! We were quite surprised, yeah.

The Second Day, and Cheyenne's Birthday
We went to my maternal grandparents' place, and lunch was like damn good. Sumptuous like don't know what and I was really happy. I had to eat some real food after a lousy reunion dinner, pizza hut and maggie mee lah. And we watched Apocalypto, the recent Mayan civilisation movie directed by Mel Gibson. It's not fake at all, and although I was quite uncomfortable looking at bare boobies on the tv screen, it was worth it because of all the blood and revenge. Go watch it if you can, rent the dvd or something, it's M18. After that we visited my granduncle's place, and then all of us went to Vivocity after that because Cheyenne wanted to go to the arcade as part of her birthday celebration. I had to herd three kids around the arcade while the adults went to Daiso to shop. But it was fun lah. (: That night we wanted to go to Swensen's to eat but we ended up at some oily Cantonese Chinese restaurant at Outram. We passed by 1929, the boutique hotel and oh my god, just looking at it from the outside made me drool like what lah. No I'm kidding, I mean, the hotel is just so gorgeous. The interiors must be plush like hell.

The Third Day
Yesterday, Becky invited us to her place for Chinese new year and we had a good time watching Fear Factor together. After that I watched Epic Movie together with Karen, Edwin and Taariq and it was fun because the entire show was just lameass stupid. But it was fun! Waste of money, time and whatnot, but fun altogether! I think it beats Date Movie lah, but Scary Movie 3 is still more hilarious.
So like, if any of you have an extra $8.50 to spare or throw into the longkang this weekend, leave your brains at home and go watch Epic Movie with some really stupid friends. That's what I did. (:

Protege

I watched Protege yesterday evening, together with Edwin, Taariq, Hector, Wan Ting and Karen! I think its not a bad movie to watch, especially if you're sick of all that visiting this lunar new year and you need to take a break from it all.

Well yesterday was fun in school. We just went to school to watch the Chinese New Year concert till 10am. Most of the performances put up were really hilarious and my class was having a good time laughing at lame, random things. And then I went back to Dunman after that with Karen and Pei Wen. There were many ex-Dunmanites who went back yesterday too.. and it was good to get to see our teachers again.

Today's finally the eve of Chinese New Year, and the reunion dinner is gonna be at my place tonight with dad's side of the family. And I've got the entire afternoon to waste away!

Love is in the air.

Valentine's Day was spent receiving a whole stash of wonderful gifts from my classmates in MJ. I felt so bad because I didn't prepare anything for anyone, and almost everybody was damn nice and giving me things lah.

The inter-class Angel and Mortal thing that the Council organised for us didn't really work out for me because I didn't get a present from my Angel. That loser. I can't believe he still had the cheek to tell me he was my angel. Like for what?! I mean, if I'm not intending on giving my Mortal a gift, I'd not tell him I'm his Angel luh! Now won't that be embaressing?

After school, Karen and I went to meet Prasanna, Taariq and Edwin and we had Han's for dinner. And as usual, we had a wacky time doing really crazy ass things while we were there. And I think we attracted a good deal of unwanted attention. Maybe it was the melon pictures we were taking? Lol, inside joke.

There are so many words that I just wanna yell out to the world. There are just so many things I have to say to you. There are just so many emotions I wish to convey. There are just so many.

You're team number one!

I feel so good just because I managed to finish up The Amazing Race 10 last Saturday. I stayed home for the entire day, glued my eyes to the computer screen, and managed to watch 10 whole episodes lah!

I think this season of TAR is one of the best... Just because there isn't a team that is always getting in first and in the lead for the entire show. I always cheer for the underdogs and it is always interesting when you get to see almost every team having an equal opportunity at winning! And the countries featured were really exotic. They went to Mongolia, Kuwait, Spain(!), Mauritius and also Madagascar, among other places.

Madagascar left me with a huge (ugly) impression when this team had to complete the fast forward task, having to chow down cow's lips in order to gain the fast forward. I was so grossed out I hid behind my cushion when the fella gagged while trying to force it down his throat. Those who watched it will know it's more disgusting than just cow's lips. It's like uncooked, and freshly sliced from the butcher. On the pieces of cow's lips, there are also cow hairs and cow teeth (#$ *@!*) lodged in the flesh. I was so so so so so disgusted. And the team had to eat it while facing this cow head hanging in front of the butcher shop.

Thank god Karen didn't feed me any delicacies that include cow's lips. Now pig's tongue seems so much better. I am so thankful.

Oh yeay! I'm gonna get a notebook for myself soon! Yeah! :D

Retail therapy, just what I needed.

I'm so happy now because I finally went shopping with Karen yesterday! We were on some shopping spree lah. Went to Vivocity, and then to Orchard. We bought so many things today... Karen bought tops, a skirt, and a pair of flats and lotsa random stuff at Daiso. And I bought a pair of sneakers, a wallet and some tees too! So like we ended up being poorer by a hundred bucks each, and we feel just so damn good about it!

We even had plans for future shopping. We're so gonna get that Bitch club tee from new urban male with Prasanna! You know, we're the three best bitches? Oh nevermind, you don't know. And I'm drooling over this black leather Adidas bag. Karen wants the brown one.. and it's on offer lah.. So very tempting but I've just received an Adidas bag for my birthday! It's like, another hundred bucks lah.

Okay, so I'm not going to spend on anything expensive or anything that I don't urgently need till April! April, okay!

Nine is my lucky number.

...And so I managed to get nine points!

The day went by in a blur. I was bloody worried as I walked up to collect my results slip. Plus I could feel all eyes on me as I was the first in class to get my results. And then Mrs Fong said I did well and I had six distinctions, but it didn't really hit me yet at that point in time. I did better than I expected in the end... so that's really great!

It turned out that Dunman had improved yet again this year! So our batch managed to prove the teachers wrong and pulled up the school's academic standards, despite last year's fantastic results. Best thing was, the distinction rate increased for every single subject!

I had A1s for English, Humanities and E Maths. Surprisingly, I managed to score all A2s for all three sciences, something which I deemed unachieveable a long long time ago. And the best surprise would have to be A Maths, which I scored a B3, far from the usual E8/F9 grade. Damn, I now owe Karen a bubble tea treat.

I was really glad to see all my friends around me doing well, and seeing them all happy and smiling made me feel really good. Lucky there weren't any disappointed friends to comfort, and we could all be happy together!

We hung out after that, and Karen went to get a hair cut. I must say she really looks a tad Taiwanese now, lol, with the 'dumb fringe' the hair woman cut for her. We still don't know why they call it a 'dumb fringe'. Hahahaha.. and sometimes we laugh when we see her in her new hair... I guess it's just gonna take a bit of getting used to it lah.

Us at Yoshinoya before Karen cut her hair

And then we had a really late dinner at Ajisen, where we took a lot of photos again (mainly of Karen and new hairdo) but I'd post them up later.

I'm so glad that my parents are so happy about my results. And all my efforts have paid off so handsomely. The satisfaction is really unlike any other kind you can ask for, and you just feel this sense of achievement and release once everything is good and over. Now it's time to crack my head over which school to choose!

Just trying to get by

We're exactly four hours away to receiving the results for our four years of hard work. I never imagined it to be this nerve-wrecking, but my mind is kind of in a blank now.

So basically I've been trying to keep myself occupied so I won't go and think about the endless possiblities (of my results). Last night, had floorball training till seven plus, and I was dead beat after that. Because of my aching muscles from Monday, my calf suddenly decided to cramp up while I was running and I had to go down. It hurt for quite some time and I couldn't walk properly after that.

Oh and I've been watching movies last night too. I watched In Her Shoes and Aeon Flux. And I think Aeon Flux is a damn cool movie lah, the futuristic setting and all.

I've got nothing to do now.. I can't wait for later though, gonna meet the rest for lunch at Subway before heading to school. It's been two months (or more?) since we last had Subway together?

Okay, all the best everyone.

Are dreams for real?

I couldn't even bring myself to tell it to you in my dream, so would I have the courage to do it in reality?

Neglection: How I really hate it when people abandon friends because they've found better interests. Is friendship really that disposable?

Don't make it a third.

We're a bunch.

The Atlas 4/07A302 people are the best classmates you can ever get, I'm telling you. That's us at last weekend's Road Race, and Glendon was trying to be a banana.

Snap Decision

I woke up at 6:50am today, brushed my teeth and washed my face, and decided that I didn't want to go to school today. So I knocked on mummy's door and she told me that it was up to me whether I wanted to go to school or not, hence I ended up wrapped up in my sheets and falling into a really deep sleep once again.

I think I was awoken a bit later by a call from my form teacher who asked if I was alright, and countless messages on my phone from various people which really jolted me because my handphone was on vibration mode. I eventually woke up at about noontime, and I realised how much I had slept since the night before.

Well, the reason why I didn't attend school today was because I am hurting all over due to yesterday's pe, in which I tried to jump like a frog but didn't do too well at it. And the other half of me was just really lazy to drag myself down to school, and have to sit through lectures and tutorials all the way till 4:15 in the afternoon.

And so I did what wasn't planned, to be nice to myself, and just pontang.

I'm glad I did that though, because I caught up on my much-needed rest, and I even had time to watch Night at the Museum and read up on the novel I'm currently stuck at. But it's back to school again tomorrow, I hope my legs and arms won't ache as much as today.

Turned out that I wasn't the only one who didn't want to go to school today. I found out later on 5 others from my class of 20 didn't attend school also. Some were ill, some were just lazy. Ha!

Express Thyself

We had a damn good time during drama class for literature tutorial on Monday. We got to relax our senses and engage in some characterization game, and I had to act as though I was feeling really cold while reading some lines off this text. I had to say "The Cat fell in love with a man" while shivering away. It was so funny.
We also did this other activity in which we had to walk around the room silently and get into character whenever something was called out by the teacher. I really liked the one where the guys all went berserk and started to shout at each other!

And then we had PE, which I totally sucked in. I can't do the standing broad jump for nuts, and I guess I've to really work on it already. I can reach past the minimal distance, but I'm just not jumping right.

Oh you know, my dad bought three goldfish for the tank, which was initially empty. He said that one belongs to him, another belongs to Cheyenne and the third belongs to me. Today, his goldfish had some growth on its tail, and he was so freaking worried about it. I mean, the freaking fish costs 8 buckaroos, like, it'd be sucha waste for it to die so quickly right!? So he started to fuss around the tank and try to save the sick fish.
I hope it doesn't die, because we still intend to buy 2 more goldfish to make 5 in all.

Saturday was Yesterday

The Road Race was fun, especially since the entire 07A302 was clad in our very own yellow tees for the event. They designed an OG tee for Atlas 4 for keepsakes and we definitely stood out! The tee has an outline of a bunch of bananas on the front, and the words "We're a bunch" printed beneath it. It's a good line, although the prints were a tad too big for my liking.

Most of us didn't run competitively, so we had to take part in the mascot race, with Glendon as the Atlas dragon (yes, the one which looks like a Digimon), and us trailing behind like a procession like that. We got last for mascot in the end, but we still managed to clinch a good second for the total inter-house competition.

I went back after lunch with the classmates at Macs and then headed out to meet Karen to head down to town. She bought like, 3 tops and I got this t-shirt for myself too. And the both of us were so tempted to get more things also lah, a tote for Karen and a pair of shoes for me. Sigh. There're just too many things to be bought in this world.

After that it was family gathering for me at Yishun, during which I fell into a really deep sleep on the couch because I was just too tired already.

Can't think of a title for this...

At Pizza hut with the pseudo-Dreamgirl and Hidayah. We had a wonderful time there laughing at Prasanna's random lame comments, and it was also there that I received a call from Mum telling me that they wanted to buy a van. Oh gosh, what's happening?

I'm listening to two versions of I Walk the Line - the original by Johnny Cash and another by Joaquin Phoenix, the actor who acted as him in the movie of the same name as the song. I really liked the movie although it was a bit long and draggy, like you don't know when it'll end and you really wanna pee badly.

I know, I'm really bored luh.

Hello Weekend

The past few days have been mundane, regular and not very exciting at all.

I don't like it when people like Glendon and Jovita don't come to school because they're sick. There's just this lack of noise, laughter and the buzz of excitement. They've taken turns to be absent from school this entire week, and it's seriously less fun without them.

I met up with Hidayah and Prasanna on Weds and Hidayah treated us to Pizza hut. The service was atrocious but what was important was that I got to see them darlings again!

The week has been rather fine. No major hiccups but it's getting really tiring! Oh and I finally had floorball training on Thursday. It was fun and I'm looking forward to more back-breaking hit-ball-with-stick action.

Friday, I headed down to town with Karen to get her materials for her project, and then we walked around quite a bit before we headed to Paya Lebar to collect my Orientation Group tee which we are gonna wear later on at the College Road Race. We finally tried the mains at Han's and I think it's super worth it!

The weekend's gonna be rather eventful. I'm gonna head down to town with Karen bitch again after the Road Race to get some retail therapy, and then to the family gathering at Grandma's. Sunday I think I'd stay home to finish up my assignments and then head down to my primary six reunion/gathering at Su Yin's place. Looking forward!

Have a jolly weekend everyone!
