Its been one of the most hectic Fridays so far. Well, to begin with there was school as usual. And Dunman Choir had a Lunchtime Concert right after school. The groups for the choir camp talentime got to sing for their friends in school and the sec 4s also sang Stand By Me. I'm sure everyone did well, at least better than the camp itself!
It was really good to be able to sing our song properly and with no pitch problems. I really enjoyed myself too. But that is gonna be our last performance already. Like Miss Yeo said, our swan song. After the performance, I had a Chem test which I totally flunked because I was stoopid enough to keep trying one freaking tough question and neglected 2 other easy ones.
Lesson learnt.
Then after that I attended choir practice and got to see for myself how they were doing without us Sec 4s. Felt a stirring tinge of remorse, all because we had no choir practices left to attend. Its really sad to leave the choir when you've had so much fun and tears and crap over there. I mean, really, my friends and I have learnt how to be better persons throughout these 4 years. There are countless real values of life that can be learnt, contrary to the belief that choir only teaches us singing techniques and nothing else.
Speaking to Miss Yeo about this unsettling feeling, Hidayah, Jia Yu and I told her 'bout our experiences these few years and it was kinda great to have an intimate sharing session after a really hectic day. I think it did open up an avenue for reflections, and it was great to have the super energectic Miss Yeo beside us.
So we chatted with her till about 6pm. And I had the Leadership Training Camp post mortem meeting at 6:30pm, which dragged till 'bout 10pm in school. I was really tired out after that. And Karen and I went for a quick bite, reaching home at only 11 plus.
So tired man. I only slept at 2am that night and had to run for cross country the next day lah. Quite mad... I should promise myself never to attempt these feats ever again. Not good.
So that was it. My Friday was so packed. No more, please.
