I've just realised that there is a whole lot of hype going on about online misdeeds ever since it was brought up this morning. Of course, chills run up my spine as I think to myself: Have I offended anyone through my blog? Well the fact is I haven't, unless you wanna consider Prasanna my victim! Gah, there's so much talk about all this freedom of expression that it'll fast become an obsession, it's kinda nuts really.
At least I know that what I'm doing is morally right. And I don't have to be making mistakes outa this once-harmless-yet-engaging-activity. Note the word I used: once. Well, blogging is not so much of a free-and-easy, do-whatever-you-wish thing anymore. Its increasingly being more fenced up and watched by the public for sensitive issues that might be raised. Besides all that legal talk, I think its really up to you in the end. No one's stopping you; you know the boundaries.
Well, whatever it was didn't stop me from writing in my 4 pages worth of comments in my journal entry this morning. Sigh. Maybe its just too sensitive to be probed any further? You decide.
And due to these hairy situations, I've indirectly become a 'victim'. Miss Yan Ping adoringly labels me as Wank in her blog now, for safeguarding purposes and what not. Oh shite, am I not supposed to be saying her name out loud here? But she called me Wank! Though I know my surname sounds mysteriously like Wank, it is not spelt this way!
It's W.A.N.G., not anything that sounds so bloody wrong!
Haha! All in good humour lah, so I shan't defame Yan Ping in my blog. Oh - but I've already defamed dear Prassie - all in good humour again. Haha!
Sigh. We should all loosen up and leave the crap to the culprits who choose to publish the sensitive material. And please, do let us enjoy blogging once again. It shouldn't become a bane!
