Yep, it's already like Thursday morning, and I'm still blogging about last Saturday's little ruined trip to the beach.
This is to get it off my back once and for all. I'm so sure more things are gonna come my way this week, and i'm not abandoning old stuff to blog about the new stuff. Its just wrong, I guess.
Multiply's Photo Gallery is seriously getting on my nerves. It's Java-enabled now, I dunno for what reason. And I'm telling you, its making life extremely difficult for me. I've been trying to upload all the East Coast Park shots up there for you to see, and it's not cooperating with me!
Apart from feeling pissed with stupid programmes on the computer, I've been going to school every single day and feeling lethargic. I dunno if its the accumulated lack-of-sleep or what, but I get so tired though school starts later during the holidays.
Yeah and about last Saturday, we met to catch the first bus to East Coast from Bedok Interchange. "We" consists of the 3 no-life people, namely Taariq, Karen and myself. It seems like everyone elses life is so eventful, and their so busy with their things that they don't have time to just chill. We, for that matter, resort to each others company and basking in each other's attention to kill time. Nolah, we were going to go out together and have fun!
Along the bus ride, Taariq was blowing up his huge gigantic beach ball (featured in my previous entry) It was so BIG! I was so amused by it, and him trying his best to blow it up on the bus was so funny. Of course, people stared lah, cos they hadn't seen such a big ball in their life before. How interesting, uh? *rolls eyes* Armed with our beach-going paraphernalia and our beach attire, we traipsed towards the seashore with bags containing mats, hammocks, snacks among other things.
Looking for a good spot to plant our asses turned out to be quite tiring, cos bags were heavy and stomachs were churning away at nothing. Then suddenly there was a change of plan to head over to Macs first for a bite before we actually settled down. Over at Macs, we had a quick lunch and then we finally went on to settle down. First we bounced and threw the big ball (finally finished blowing) around, and then we made that story, which I found rather cute and special. Then, Taariq and Karen went to set up the hammock while I became a bookworm and got all absorbed in my Memoirs Of A Geisha. Ahhh. Enjoyed life for a moment there. Its good to go to the beach and just hang out once a while I guess, and let the waves wash your worries away! Nyaha. I love the beach!
And then Melyssa appeared! And she wanted to go blading, but the sky suddenly became overcast. Saddening lah. We took pictures until the little raindrops came down on us. Gahhhhh, that was when I started to get pissed with the weather. It was just so sunny a moment ago! But heck, we had to pack up (hammock, mat and all) and run for shelter!!! We took shelter at the underground tunnel leading to the HDB flats across (Block 18, where I used to reside!) and started deflating the beach balls. Then we had to run across thru the flats to get to the bus stop. And so we did, and got drenched.
We finally got to this void deck and just waited there for awhile, hoping that the rain would stop or something. Then, Karen and I decided to go play in the rain! And so we did! And got drenched! We took photos. It was so much fun, I tell you. Then Taariq joined us, and the rain got heavier anyway.
After all that, we made our way across to the bus stop (although the rain hadn't become any smaller) Along the way, this old lady called me "Uncle" and I was like, is she calling me? But nevertheless, guess what, she needed help to go down the steps without slipping and possibly falling. Well, being the good samaritan that I was and always will be, helped her down, although it was raining down heavily on me and heaven was showing no mercy... But guess what? I felt good about it, most importantly, despite getting my underwear wet cos the rain soaked through, and being called an "Uncle" by an "Auntie"... haha...
It's always good to help someone who needs help isn't it? I know its cliche, the entire hullabaloo about helping old ladies cross the road and stuff. But I've actually frankly come to realise, it can happen!
Ok so we waited for the bus, all drenched and wet, feeling cold and made our way down to Parkway Parade. We walked around, they've got new shops there, and we had Four Leaves bread. Yeah, and then we headed home lah after that.
Real fun day with lotsa great times. Day at the beach gone wrong. But sadly, the photos can't be uploaded! HMM! I'd try my best to get it up on Multiply within this week then. If not, I'll forget about it entirely. Sickening thing.
Anyways, here's a shot :)
