i cannot believe my ears. i cannot believe my eyes, rather.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. i was online and on messenger, and this totally gorgeous shot of my mum, cheyenne and i was on the display pic box...
when somebody suddenly said this to me, "your mum looks familiar. like i've seen her on tv or something!"
RIGHT.
i was momentarily stunned. either 1) the person telling me that is blind or 2) my mum has a secret life i doon't know about! but then again, what tv programme could mum possibly be on? thoughts running wild now, scaling the walls and going all over the place. she could very well be on americas next top model and whatever, could she? nah.. mum told me she didn't think of being a model. and also, she's not very american or top anyways. and please, if my mum was model-material, i would be swooning. worst still, you think i'd even be HER SON?! lets consider, maybe she was on some season of survivor or amazing race? cannot be what.. my mum's not really the gung-ho, face in the mud and ass being exposed to the world kind. apprentice? no, mum was just telling me that day over a bowl of keropok, she could never handle all that stress from the donald.
anyways, lets digress abit. that wonderful shot was taken in Kanchanaburi, a rustic little town somewhere in Thailand, where we were on vacation last june. the place is most famous for this famous bridge over this river i can't remember the name for. and the bridge was built during the world war II times, when the Japanese were winning the war at one point in time and the POWS from all the other countries were "banished" to this route that they had drawn up to build a huge railway track stretching all the way from Japan to Malaysia. its quite mad, actually. but there goes many unfortunate tales of malnutrition-ed young soldiers who were once so patriotic to their countries but ended up being fed little and working as slaves for the construction of the railway, hence the name The Death Railway. okay, some history there. hope you're still reading...
we took that picture on this motorbike vehicle thinging with a seat to carry passengers. the wind was blowing in my hair, as you can very well see. and the ride was fun and bumpy :)
and i still think that the person who made that comment must have been mad. or maybe, just maybe, mum was on the biggest loser? i'd never wanna know.
