SATURDAY MORNING BLUES.

saturday!
had chemistry remedial at 8:30am in school, but i only awoke at 8:15am. as usual. sigh - so i rushed like mad and took a cab down..
after chem had to meet for rehearsel for the excos performance for investiture on weds!
we're working on this rhythm idea lah.. and suddenly taariq had this rhythm which we had a brilliant idea for. so basically jiayu wanting jasmine taariq sabrina and i were hitting the table in this classroom. hahh. watch out for us thid weds after school during investiture then. i am praying so hard that our performance would turn out well. :)

after the rehearsel, wanting taariq and i went to tampines mall for lunch. and wanting wanted to get her white skirt. she's been on a shopping spree since friday. cos she has soooo much $$$ to spend, that lucky gurl. so far, she's gotten a top, a pair of earstuds, a tote (that comes with matching little bag and pencil case), and her white skirt of course.... ahhh. so envious that i can't get to shop like her.

anyways after that i met mum and we drove down to pasir ris mrt to get my ez-link replaced. it was so funny lah - she dropped me at the other end of the interchange and i was like.. where da heck is the office man.. cos there was only this toilet there.. so i had to walk over to the other end lah..
and the interchange was kinda crowded yesterday, cos the asian aerospace 2006 was on! ohman. envious me.. it really reminded me bout the 2 times i've been to asian aerospace previously, sometime back. mum used to get free tix when she worked in GE... so we would go down to the tents they set up and catch the planes.. i was still this little fascinated boy, and i really liked the demonstration. you know the one where the jets and the helicopters fly across the sky and do stunts and all. yeah.. it was like the highlight. and i remember i got to shake hands with the F16 pilots and they autographed on this poster i still keep. hah. so cool lah.. and i went around with my cousin and explored the entire exhibition they had, getting those posters and freebies.
heard that this year would be the last that asian aerospace would be taking place in singapore.. so its really sad that i don't get to have a next time! :( ahhh.

that night we went over to grandma's place at yishun again. had dinner and uncle kit bought this new game "black and white 2" its some really cool game that involves your conscience. hah, cos you're supposed to decide whether you wanna be evil or good. and you're the "god" of the game lah.. complete with your magical hand being able to pick up anyone and anything thats impossible to humans. and you gotta complete the tasks lah.. and choose whether to go to war/impress people to gain territories. and you got this creature with you that'd grow and we chose a lion thingy.
haha. it sorta reminded me bout Narnia, the movie.. just that i was in control.
okay, its really hard to describe the game, unless you're actually playing yah?

we left their place at midnight! didn't know that time past so quickly.. and we didn't go home! we headed to upper east coast road for supper at the hong kong cafe, someplace that mum and i saw on the tv show that day. it was featured on coffee talks and hawker woks with fiona xie and belinda lee. it opens from 6pm to 5am, so the night owls haunt the place.. there were many people, considering that it was a saturday night. we had the famous hong kong "bo lo bao" and their special french toast with peanut filling and french toast with banana filling. we also had the hong kong hot milk tea, which was soooo good. hrrrm. there were also chicken wings which were so damn good. and we tried this desert called mango showdown. its mango pudding, mango juice, mango cubes and mango ice cream all together! yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

i feel so hungry just talking about it, anyone?

INAUGARATION DAY.

i have to blog about last friday!

well, school went along as usual. i like fridays, cos they are kinda relaxed and all and its less stressful. assembly slot was for the student leaders' inaugaration ceremony thing today. it was sorta like an informal investiture to present us to the school lah, cos this year our 3rd student leaders' investiture would be like after school.

yah, so then we went on stage and all. the class chairpersons, newly-invested councillors and the exco board... after that we had council departmental presentations. i wos real worried due to lack of preparation. and i figured that i only had to throw myself into the situation and not worry bout it for the entire day. you know, i'm that kinda person who'd allow nerves to overcome me. yeah i think manasi and i did okay. yup, just a simple powerpoint slides and all to show the school what we're up to lah..

thereafter there was the oath of office that we took on stage, which marked the ending of the entire assembly. sigh. in this area of leadership, i really don't feel that the school is a tad supportive at all. but i think, we really can't blame them for such poor judgement. but really, somethings can be compromised and i just feel that many things are just misunderstood between everyone and everyone else.

yah, so we were saying, fotunately the investiture would be after school hours.. to minimize the humiliation we were expecting to suffer from the students. sigh sigh sigh. hope the investiture turns out ok. one must learn not to raise his expectations when things don't happen when they should i guess.

and hector won't be joining us for wednesday's actual investiture!!! argh. he's got volleyball tournament lah. sad lah... that he'd be missing such a memorable event to mark our duty for the school all this while.

yeap, and after school ended there was choir prac. it was the usual stuff lah. us learning slow and not meeting expectations and requirements of mr toh. its really saddening sometimes. when i don't receive the help from my fellow sl. it pisses me off, really. and i am just the only one trying to hard to hold the section up lah.. sometimes i feel so damn tired lah.. but somehow i manage to tell myself that i should press on whatever it may be. how i wish i could receive more help from him and stuff. i don't know whether its just his incapability or what?

yups. and during choir today, we celebrated mr toh's birthday! (although its like next friday) we figured this would be the best day cos next friday we wouldn't be able to see him.. it was really a surprise, cos he didn't expect it at all i guess. he was in the midst of sending the guys out for sectionals while he worked with the girls. and we were like "pretending" to queue up to get out of the avt. but clearly, the line wasn't moving at all. and he was like, "if you're not going to move out fast enough........" (he was about to scold us lah) and then suddenly jerome came in with the cake and we started to cheer and all. surprise! hahah. i'm sure he was happy, seeing the look on his face :) yay! haha. and we presented this birthday card from the choir to him.

so choir did end on a good note today. which is good. i rushed home after practice to bathe and change and then head back to school again for night study. i really hate rushing about though...

we had english taught in the hall, all the sec 4s.. and it was like writing summary again. i guess practice makes perfect, so i wouldn't complain anymore.. although its really troublesome and tiring..
at least my friday nights don't go to waste lah. was seated beside k7 and gang. and they were like so LAME. completely lah. wanting had this suspicion that jega was trying to buddy with me. hahahh. ridiculous! and raihanah and karen in front of me were fighting over my green tea and trying to act sexay after that. it was such a great time sitting there with all the mad things going on round me.

after night study we headed towards home. and i wanted to get dinner but nobody bothered :(
ahh. nalah, they didn't wanna get dinner out. so i went to dabao at 201 and went back just in time to catch survivor. after that i bathed and i blacked out entirely at 1130pm sharp.

long tiring day...

CHEYENNE'S BIRTHDAY

the week started so abruptly and my initial plans of blogging bout how i spent my sunday celebrating my sister's birthday have gone nowhere! its tuesday now, so what the heck.

yeah, so anyway, sunday was cheyenne's 8th birthday. since it was her birthday, mum decided that the day's activities would be entirely her call. but before she woke up we went into her room and gave her a surprise - her birthday present which was a dumbo the baby elephant plushie which she really wanted. she was real happy lah, when we gave it to her. cos she likes elephants, i don't know why.

cheyenne had decided that aunt joanne, uncle mark, joey and grandma would join us in her celebration. we went to marina square. where we had lotsa fun in the arcade. and then we shopped around and finally settled for sakae sushi (again!) we ate so much and jap food is just so good i can't get enough of it :) and so after dinner we walked around and then we went into swensens (again!) for ice-cream. i ate like a glutton, i was so exhausted from all that eating afterwards.

the birthday people! uncle mark's birthday would be 2 days after cheyenne's, which is today!

yep, and that was pretty much how we celebrated her birthday. and she was really happy on that day lah. yay x) more shots of the girls ahead...

WALK THE LINE.

watched walk the line today after school! school ended real early too cos we had like half day of school only today due to the FANTASTIC o level results last year! so anyways, karen, wanting, taariq and i took the opportunity and time to catch a movie lah. wanting had initially wanted to watch i not stupid too, but then we decided to go for something different and sweet. :)

i wanna talk bout school first. so yah, we went to class and the fire drill that we had all expected finally happened as i was walking back to class. hahah. lol. lucky i found enough time to drop my bag and join everyone as we made our way down to the field. when we had all assembled, we took attendance and i dunno why the hell they made us stand under the sun for sucha long time before they gave us permission to enter the hall for assembly! ahahah. i guess it was some admin. problem lah, whatever. so we went to the hall and mr yap debriefed bout the entire fire drill process which was sucha bore. then there was a total defence presentation thingy that was supposed to be a mini-concert. so lame! i mean hey! there wasn't even ONE performance lah ok.. just some super lame stuff that i don't even remember lah...

and then there were house meetings! for one whole hour, we got into our respective houses and sat there to nominate people to run and stuff. so karen and i went to new block cos mr jain and miss lim were meeting the EXPLORERS there. hah, i really do hope we win AGAIN this year for sports day, like every year. hahaha. all the sports cca people are here lah, almost. you've got basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton and soccer people. and mind you, they are the better sports athletes lah. i just sat there and looked on as everyone got excited. hah. karen and i were seriously bored.. and trying to sing jack johnson songs but we couldn't recall the tunes! sigh! needed my mp3 badly though. mr bernard was like wandering around the explorers. hah, we initially thought he was scolding people lah, but no! he was encouraging people to sign up and volunteer to take part in the events! hahh. can you believe it, he's either a explorers teacher(unlikely), or he's supportive of us, or he's simply kaypoh!
yep, and we got dismissed at 10:30am and 4A had to clear basement to find ms yew's missing cheongsams. fortunately, we found them!

so walk the line was real good. it was nice lah. but one thing was that it was kinda draggy at the start... and the movie's like 2 hours and 20 minutes. i love the setting cos its like in the old fashion days kinda thing. joaquin phoenix as the legendary johnny cash himself and reese witherspoon as june carter. actually, joaquin phoenix really kinda resembles the original man himself, i realised later when i surfed for his shots. the country singing were all good. really liked the parts where they sang the duets. the story's quite predictable, bout this singer who got into trouble with drugs and all, and he's torn between his love for singing, drugs, and the love of his life played by reese witherspoon (although he already has a wife and family) it's kinda tragic lah, the entire journey he took. but interesting enough. one can't help it but feel a bit of dislike yet empathy for the guy cos of his ways.

VALENTINES.

valentine's had just gone by!
its quite troublesome you know. i mean, as much as i wanna get stuff for my LOVED ones, there's just no time to do it properly and satisfyingly!

that night, stupid melyssa and stupid me went all the way to tuition place and then found out at the door that actually there was NO tuition. thanks lah, mel! i mean. she got it misunderstood lah.. so don't blame her.. hahah. but sh emade me rush all the way from tampines to bedok and i had to wait for her for 30min plus somemore! ):

so i wasted an hour travelling for nothing which i could have used for preparing gifts. then went home and washed up and ate before going out (again!) to meet karen and taariq at tm. reached there while shops were closing and we played on the iGALLOP! omg, i tell you. that new kinky sex inspired MACHINE is so... i dunno what to say. the ad's racy, raunchy and.. corny! ahhaha. so we finally got to try it for ourselves. and its kinda fun actually! we were video-ing each other on karen's cam. and taariq did the lasso cowboy thingy. its quite interesting actually, so people, for CHEAP THRILLS, i suggest you go try it for yourself with some friends and get creative!

so after that taariq had to go home. and karen and i sat at medium macs to work on our gifts. she was painting some stuff for her netballers, and i was writing loveletters for all da LOVED ones. haha.
was so tiresome lah... we sat there till like 1130? and then headed for home. and of course, karen pang seh-ed me! ahh! so sudden somemore! with some mysterious guy that was gonna bring her home. she gave me a shock lah okay. so unexpected totally.

so i got home and started work on packing the stuff and writing all the loveletters up properly.
got red and white friendship bands for people like karen, taariq, mel, rene and ting. got shing chun a little diamante ear stud. got jiayu a notebook and hidayah a frog that is her, without doubt that i shared with inez. got yanping, raihanah, prasanna and manasi super nice bookmarks. at the end of the day, i realised that i had NOTHING to give to inez at all lah. cos before i went for 'tuition' i was shopping with her what.. so you tell me how to buy?

anyways next day was valentines. i totally had no mood whatsoever to study at all. it was just giving and receiving and having little parties in class. being happy and laughing my head off. just chilling for the entire day lah. haha. x)

hidayah gave me another frog that resembles her also (!) shing gave a rose plushie,

yanping gave a nice bottle thingy with flying GREEN hearts and blah (copy my snowglobe idea!),

jiayu gave cookies-made-from-da-heart (soggy and i dare not eat), inez gave a mug thats so cute i can't stand it (i like it so much!),

wanting gave a GREEN nemo water toy (retarded face and pouty oogly lips),

mel gave a handmade test tube thats so sweet! (it says: i love you so much),

karen gave a lightbulb with red hearts flying inside (copy my snowglobe idea again!),

eirene gave me a silver last minute star made from raihanah's extra ribbons (bah! =P), taariq ??? (haven't make finish yet!), pras and raihanah gave little sweet hampers which looked so damn nice and all (: and manasi gave me a rose! ahahah. so sweet lah. pink one. which i later found out means friendship. awwww. haha.
well, i didn't exactly give inez anything lah. although i feel really bad about it, so i plan to treat her to a movie or something. right. so apparently, i just gave her a nice card that i've been saving up for quite a long time.. it says "world's greatest friend" inside. and i also gave her a red rose with it :)

bountiful valentines. i must say, its my best valentines ever, although its not like i actually landed myself a valentine. hahah. have fun everyone! especially the singletons!

END OF CNY.

okay, i know this is really late. in fact, this post should have been up last sunday already lah.
but anyhow, here it is, the last day of cny celebration at my place. had steamboat, finally!

grandparents having a great time feasting. somehow, uncle kit got hold of a whole lot of beef from his friend who owns the beef noodle store at the foodcourt at wisma. its so damn good. and its free!

hahah. aren't free things always good? lol. i sound so cheapskate. anyways, this explains the look on uncle kit's face in the next shot! :D

the steamboat was soo good. arh. don't ya think its really fast that cny has come and past? all 15 days of it? been so busy that i haven't even had proper time to rest, let alone getting to go to the river hongbao at esplanade park and also chinatown to see the lights! ):

one more year's wait to go again....

FAMILY DAY.

well, i finally have found the time to sit in front of my computer and blog.
the pass week has been extremely hectic for everyone.
thats cos yesterday was family day in school and the after school hours were spent preparing for the haunted house that 4A was gonna set up. the night before family day was spent at 201 till midnight doing up the planning for the roles and the banner that we were supposed to put up.
i woke up 1 hour late the next day and got to school late for the preparation. sigh. was just too tired i guess.
the basement which we were gonna use for the haunted house was done up nicely and everything was put in place. business started at 9:30am with our first customers of the day. it was slow at first, with people waiting up to 2 and a half hours to enter the haunted house. business was FANTASTIC, we earned $901 in total for the haunted house. great achievement :)
the haunted house was too freaky for some, i myself saw 4 kids crying and wanting to go out already.. i guess it was really too scary for them. of course, some people thought that it wasn't scary at all, because they're older.. like there were some seniors who went in and created havoc.. i think their actions were just dumb lah... why do these things to make matters worse? i just don't really get it.
well, i'm sure some of you didn't enjoy it, while there were many others who felt that it was good..
it was our first time at this huge project in the basement.. so yeah.. of course it wouldn't be entirely perfect.
for myself, i thought that there were several really freaky parts about it. hrrrm. wanting and nadiah as possessed people in the ritual room were really good! and there was karilynn and xin min as chinese prostitutes.. which was damn spooky too. and eirene as the corpse who awoke from its coffin was scary. many other classmates did a really great job at scaring people too x) yay!
we also had mrs neo, mdm hafsah and mdm rohanah inside at some point, posing as ghosts.. haha. i can only remember mrs neo screaming "i want blood!" in the ritual room.
now that is scary.

i'm getting the GETTY fever again! haha.. its when i suddenly have this feeling of finding cool pics from GETTY and saving them. x) here's a pic i found to represent how hardworking i have been this weekend. LOL. haha. nahlah, since when have i been hardworking? but hey! this weekend, i managed to do up ALL my homework. i completed emaths, amaths, geog, chem and bio homework!
yay! hahahahhaha. saturday, yesterday, was spent doing homework. visited grandma in yishun for dinner and stuff and i did homework there too. :D
