Tenting In, Making Out

Okay I was kidding about the second part of the title of this post.

We went to pitch a tent at East Coast Park after the Choir Farewell Party. I met Edwin, Hector, Taariq, Pei Wen and Karen inside my house that night and my mum drove us to the beach. We eventually got there close to midnight, haha. Like who the hell goes to the beach at that hour?! Us!

So the tent pitching took only like, 5 minutes. I thought it'd take forever, but lucky the $20 tent I bought last Christmas was actually quite a cheapskate one and it was really easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy to pitch.

We settled in and started munching away on junk, whilst playing The Name Game, which of course, is a very fabulous game indeed. That night we had names like Nata de coco, Coconut tities (LOL, wtf?!), She sells sea shells, Baby Baboon (that was me, sadly) and Pipipapeepoo. (Coincidentally, most of the names were beach-themed to suit our surroundings that night) Of course, we laughed like mad freaks again and I think we kinda disturbed our next-tent neighbours who were making out? They eventually moved away or went home or something, haha.

And then at about 3 plus am I went to Macs with Edwin and Karen to get some ice-cream, before we went back to just chill out to some good music. We were just laying around, and I shifted my position to face upwards from the tent door, and guess what I saw!? I saw this shooting star through the fronds of the coconut trees above me! Hector saw it too and yes, I initially thought it was a firefly's spark or something. But it was gone in like half a second or even shorter than that! It really made me so excited, and I did make a wish too.

It's remarkable, considering its my first time seeing one. Hector has seen like 50 over at some shooting star event thingy which happens only like once in a few years. But I saw it, so yay!

We waited for the sunrise, and I took a little walk on my own (Aha, count it as being emo) before that too. The sun rise was spectacular! It was nice just laying there and enjoying the sun which marked the start of a brand new day :) When day broke, we went to walk in the waves, enjoying the sea breeze and the good company. ECP beach is soooo clean now, its like you can actually see through the water and its so tempting to just jump in and frolic in the waves, lol.

Then it was off to breakfast, which was supposed to be at BK, but we discovered that it doesn't even exist, yet. So it was off to Subway (which wasn't that good because they didn't have pickles and the guy thought green chillis were pickles, that loser) to fill our tummies before we went cycling for about 2 hours. We cycled till our asses, crotches and backs hurt like crap and then went back to de-pitch and head home.

I had a wonderful day man, but I was dying on the return journey home. Severe lack of sleep and aching muscles, I really couldn't take it and resorted to just dozing off wherever we had to wait. But nevertheless, it was definitely a fun-filled experience, so yay again!

Oh and I actually forgot that we did some ANTM Wannabe Photoshoot during the night, in which we had to come up with creative poses with a torch light alone. We did like beauty shots, which weren't exactly very beautiful lah, but what the heck! I'd post them up when I like return from Taiwan (read: after Christmas)
