Prom Night

Prom Night was held at Le Meridien Hotel. All of us got to dress up and be pretty. I am too lazy to bore you with the details, so lets talk 'bout some highlights shall we?

I was rotting at home for the entire day, because I didn't have any Hair and Make-up to go to... Like obviously lah.. If I have right, then something's really wrong. So I woke up late and grew bored and waited for the arrival of my (pseudo) Prom date, Prasanna. She was fresh from Hair and Make-up at Eastpoint, so she came over to my place to change and get ready. So we got dressed up, me in my simple white shirt and black suspenders and Pras in her turqoise dress. We went out to hail a cab and we were like, crossing our fingers for a white mercedes cab to stop for us. And guess what! The first cab which came our way was a white mercedes cab! Lucky!

The two of us travelled in style and class. Lol, that's what the ad in the cab said. We stopped at Paragon because that was where we were gonna converge before heading to the hotel. The others were there already, like Melyssa and Karen were still doing their hair and Hector and Taariq were waiting for them there. Then Eirene came. And after everyone was done, we cabbed again, this time to Meridien Hotel.

We weren't exactly on time, but anyways we got the last available table there, along with Wan Ting, A'in, Hidayah and Ms Yew. The food was not too bad, and time really flew once the programme started. Taariq won the best dancer competition thing and he was really really good okay! I seriously don't have the guts he had to go up on stage and boogie away while blindfolded. Oh and Melyssa won the prestigious title of Prom Queen! Hahahahah. I tell you, her rocker chick hair did it for her man. And Shiva was the Prom King.

After dinner we took loads of photos with everyone we knew. And then everyone started to head back into the ballroom's dancefloor. We kinda boogied the night away, yeah, until everything ended like at 1am. It was enjoyable, but the dj played crappy techno stuff. Raaaaah.

And then Prom Night ended and everyone headed home, but the lot of us stayed together to spend the morning out. We walked aimlessly from Meridien to Tangs, until we decided that we were going in the wrong direction 'cos we wanted to walk to the Esplanade area. So we turned back and walked all the way to The Cathay, where we sorta gave up and got into Mel's Dad's car. He brought us to have prata at like 4am, and then we decided to head home in a cab after that.

I had a lot of fun that night... I had a memorable time and I am glad that I had all my friends were there to spend the time with. We had a good celebration of these four long years in Dunman, and boy am I gonna miss all of you...
