Tuesday at Graduation Ceremony and A Good Year

Tuesday we had the Graduation Ceremony thing, so we had to go back to school. I was running late, so I called up Karen, who was with Hidayah. We were all late coincidentally! And they were lucky, 'cos I was in a white merc cab and I picked them up somewhere. We cabbed down to school together, and yes, we were quite early.

At the Graduation Ceremony, we received our graduation certs and all that, and we were informed about the application for the first three months in jc thing for 2007. I wasn't really paying attention actually, and of course, we took many pictures!

I think graduating is quite a sad thing. To think that is really our last day together in Dunman is sad. And these four years have really been four remarkable years in my life, not to mention the four most tumultous years. I've left behind countless wonderful memories and made the most exceptional friends I could ever ask for. So yeah, good stuff :)

So after all the documents were passed to us and we had some refreshments, some local bands were on stage to play for us. I used the word local because that was what they called them. Its odd that they make themselves sound so good, like you know, so local and so established. Nothing can compare to The Suns, in case you were just wondering. Anyways, the bands were blah... But it was amusing to hear some really lousy vocalists. Like, if you really know and think that your voice isn't really cut out for singing live in front of an audience, then don't! It was disgusting lah.. some of the local bands. To think that these people (who are tone deaf, by the way) have the guts to front a local band. Besides, putting on an obviously fake Brit accent to sing Arctic Monkeys doesn't really make you any better!

Oh, and I don't think you are aware that the local bands I am talking about are some wannabes from my school. Really, not kidding.

Right so I'm dissing the lousy people who performed. But of course lah, there were good people on stage too. I really admired those on the guitars, like they can play really well. And there was only like one good singer, so yeah. The last band which performed was waaaaay better lah. And it was such a breath of fresh air.

After the performances, the Graduation Ceremony kinda ended and after snapping some last shots with some friends, I went lunching with Yan Ping, Jia Yu, Shing and Hidayah. We went to Pasta Mania and I had clams with linguine in white wine. It was very nice. We went back to school for choir later, and I got to see my juniors again lah. I don't really understand what's the whole dramaful thing going on with all of them. From what I see, they're doing okay. Perhaps they are just anxious over the approaching concert lah.

We left choir after about an hour and a half... and yet it seemed like a bloody short time to some. I went to watch A Good Year with Hidayah. Lol, it was funny 'cos we accidentally got ourselves a couple seat thing. You know, one of those loveseats kinda thing. But hey! It was extremely spacious and comfortable, I could even cross my legs! The movie's a feel good movie, and it basically puts life into perspective if you think about it closely. Priorities, choices, decisions, dilemma, you get the drift. Overall, it was a good quiet movie.

After the movie I went to get another hole punched in my belt at Far East. My pants were kinda dropping already. Hahahaha. And then home!

I've graduated!
