Just back from Mel's sister's birthday partay at pasir ris park. We walked back okay, the lot of us. Edwin, Taariq Karen and I. At 1am, we took the tampines park connector and trekked home. My legs were killing me and my ankles were giving way, but lucky mum came to my rescue just after we got past dunman and bought a big gulp to quench our parched tongues. And I was whisked home in no time.
The partay was enjoyable, but more 'bout that some other day when I've the pics ah. Lots of food, lots of photos and the usual blah.
Mum was so funny! She was basically whining to me as we pulled into the parking lot 'bout being reluctant initially to come and pick me up because she was wearing socks. And she thought it'd be super embaressing if any neighbour caught her wearing those socks (with her flip-flops) at the lift lobby... She was like telling me she'd never be caught dead in those socks but she still had to put them on 'cos she had applied some medication on her feet. So I told her that she could just try and hide her feet if any neighbour appeared and like gawked at her fashion faux pas. And then she'd have to find a solution - which is to start blabbering convincingly in japanese and persuade them that she's really a japanese lady.
A passing thought: Why do japanese find wearing their socks with their slippers so cool? Cleanliness or just pure habitual?
And I just did this quiz thing that I got in the mail. Its some Brainteaser Test which is able to like tell you how smart you are after you've successfully completed the questionnaire.
