Well, I was planning on adding another entry after that dian wei post there. Had something in mind, some entry that'd explain my own heritage and how some people just mistaken me for a non-Chinese, but then I got a message on my phone, delivering some unfortunate news. So I gave him a call just to check if everything was okay. I mean, I knew things weren't going exactly smoothly, but something triggered me to just want to call to find out. To comfort him and just hear his voice. So I did that, and by the time I hung up, I was too traumatised to even continue blogging. So that post would have to wait for some other time then...
The week's been really hectic. Tiring, but fun. Hidayah and I went to his grandma's wake to pay our respects, and to check up on our old friend. We got the see the funeral rites and all that, and Hidayah and I just talked 'bout lotsa stuff. I was glad he looked alright, albeit a tad tired and gaunt, but I hope I really did give him some comfort and concern. I mean, its really in tough times like these that people get thrown into their most vulnerable states and you just gotta be there even if it doesn't seem like you're helping much.
The funeral set me thinking. Why do humans have to wait for these circumstances, then they decide to feel bad and regret their own actions? For instance, personally, I felt I've neglected some close ones and elders, and its not a good thing lah of course, it really made me wanna appreciate things and people around me more. But why? Why did I have to wait till the death of someone else to realise this? Why? Maybe I'm just such a sucker.
Okay, so that was Tuesday night. Since then, I've not been having the time to really sit down and blog. I went to the Esplanade on Thursday, had Racial Harmony on Friday and also a Teachers' Concert that Friday night in Dunman. And Saturday was spent in Dunman again at this Bbq. I shall blog when I have the time to okay? It's like. 300 over pictures in just 2 days?
So I shall see ya all around, and watch the site meter! It's getting close to 1000 already! Yay!
