It was such a last minute decision. I had just gotten out of the bath and it was exactly 10:30pm. We packed our snacks and picked aunt Joanne and Joey up from their home and headed over to Macdonalds.
When we got there, it was exceptionally packed. Expected. Everyone's chairs were turned to face the widescreen that perched on the wall at the far end of the fast food outlet. We managed to squeeze past people at the entrance doors and found a spot situated directly in front of the screen. We gathered a few more chairs from the area and settled down.
And that was when the match started. Just in time.
I guess the majority of the crowd there were Germany supporters. But I was hoping for Sweden to win! (If I'm not wrong, Sweden is higher than Germany in the FIFA ranking? Correct me if I'm wrong) I think Germany played a really good game, so it was well deserved that they had won in the end. So now Germany would face Argentina in their next match, would they pull through yet again?
The crowd at Macdonalds were not bad. Except for that irritating pudgy boy who kept asking and asking and asking questions. Dumb, stupid questions like Why is the little flag at the corner there able to bend over ah? And his Dad would ignore him because he's too caught up in the game (or maybe too embaressed to even answer). And then he'd start whining Daddy why everytime lidat one... I ask question then you nod your head... You don't bother much one!!?? Then after that his Mum would have to pacify him while he fires up another round of silly questions. And his mother! His mother is like the running live commentary for the soccer match! She'd explain in such vivid detail every single rule/regulation that has been flouted. Like the penalties and how the penalty kick works and the yellow cards and the red cards and the sent offs. She just went on and on and on and mind you, her voice wasn't very soft okay.
I really enjoyed myself! Aunt Jo was like Eh next Saturday free a not? Lets do this again!
