Bloody Irritating

Today's quite a bad day, so let me bore you with the details.

I was supposed to meet Mum at 2:40pm in town. But I only left Tampines station at 2:35pm. Of course, a horrendous screaming session followed over the phone as I sat in the train, wincing in pain as every single word was delivered by her mouth. I had to reduce the volume of my handphone in fear of terrorising the guy sitting next to me. It was that bad.

I had miscalculated the time, and worst still, I was supposed to meet her to catch a movie which started at 2:55pm! Two desperate and pissed off phone calls from her later, I finally got to the Lido theatres at 3:10pm. I tell you, I ran as fast as my legs could take me okay.

The moment I met her, she was cursing at me under her breath until we sat down for the movie. I was already red in the face. Bloody embaressing, bloody fucked up and all. I felt so much like walking out on her at that very moment. My imaginative mind pictured myself thrusting the tickets into her face while shouting some obscene profanity and stomping off in style. But that was not to be, of course. I would have been mad if I did that, sheer anger in the heat of the moment. That would have to be shooting myself in the foot, 'cos suddenly I reminded myself of the Asics shoes she was gonna get me later on. (Hahahaha I know that sounds bad and all but thats all that comes to mind when you're angry right?!)

Well, what to do? I just sucked it all in and shut it all out.

Yup, we watched She's The Man. It was kinda weird at first because we were so damn pissed with each other, and yet Amanda Bynes (disguised as her brother) was talking about tampons on the big screen. It was not only about tampons lah okay, 'she' was like teaching 'her' roomie, a guy, how to use tampons as effective nose bleeding 'stoppers'. As in, you shove it up your nose to stop the bleeding. Super hilarious and the cinema crowd were guffawing like mad while we just sat there seemingly unfazed and laughing deep inside.

The movie was good and I was glad it eventually did lift our spirits a little. Feel good movies rock. I believe they're able to heal relationships. Anyways, we walked over to Wheelock, where I had another bad turn in my almost-destroyed day. The pair of Asics Onitsuka Tiger white-green shoe that I had been eyeing all this while, they didn't have my size! I was so freaking pissed and all and Mum wasn't helping either. She gave me that so-what-you-want-me-to-do-for-you look. So I was like Forget it! and we got out of the store.

Well Mum wasn't in luck either. She couldn't get her size for the Adidas shoes she wanted and also the wedges from this other store. Boo...

We then headed home after that 'cos we had a dinner date with Dad and Cheyenne. It's Father's Day, remember? Dad decided we'd go to Changi Village and check out the place. We ended up at this place called The Terminal which is a charming little restaurant by the ferry terminal. Ahaha, what an unoriginal name. They serve Chinese and Western food and they were quite full today. So we didn't really have a choice but to settle at the Bar side which was much darker but definitely less crowded.

Due to the large crowd and Father's Day celebrations, we had to wait quite awhile for our dishes. We had calamari and wedges as sides, and more Chinese stuff too. It was worth the wait! And I'm glad Dad enjoyed himself. I had my first taste of Around the World, a really tasteful cocktail. Mum really liked it but I didn't really fancy it. Its sorta tangy. Pineapple and rum and vodka and gin and who knows what they put inside.

Think my lousy day ended on a good note. Fortunately for me. Tomorrow would be a day of studying before going to school at night for choir camp. I really can't wait!
