Well, we had Sports Day yesterday at Tampines Stadium.
It was not much of a hoot, though I'd pretty much preferred it to be more ra-ra altogether. Its like the Dunmanite spirit just doesn't come through at all, year after year. And especially for this year's Championships, it was exceptionally quiet.
School ended at 10:30am but our class had a Chem Practical to complete before we could leave. Had Subway for lunch after that, before heading over to the stadium. It was a rainy day and we were unsure whether the weather conditions were gonna cause Sports Day to be cancelled or not.
But the sky cleared shortly after the event started! I sat at the Explorers' stand with Taariq and Wan Ting and we cheered Karen, Eirene and Melyssa on. It was a really un-enthusiastic atmosphere for Explorers, and the cheerleaders were like, almost useless.
But they did well for the House Cheering, though we didn't win that segment, they had the flips and the bridges, and the moves which impressed us a good deal.
Yes, and once again, Explorers won the title of House Champion, yet again! I think its a blessing, that for all these years, Explorers have been having the best athletes in Dunman. And because of that, we swipe most of the medals and trophies on the table.
Right. That was how uneventful Sports Day was. Pardon me for the un-excited air around it all.
