watched memoirs of a geisha last night at the 10:15am show at GV tamp with my family. the movie was fantastic! X) i really liked the show, the part where Sayuri was learning how to become a geisha, and when she danced at the show! that was really cool, although i struggled to grasp the significance of the dance!
the scenic landscapes and the sets were really surreal and it was beautiful. the young Sayuri, Chiyochan was really cute! little Pumpkin was cute too! but she grew up to be such a slut in the end.
especially loved Mameha's character for propelling Sayuri into fame, but Michelle Yeoh couldn't pull off the Japanese accent at all. and also, didn't get to see her in her geisha garb and all! :( shame.
Hatsumomo was terrific too. although she played the vengeful, resident bitch and made everyone hate her, its hard not to sympathise with her as well in the end. she looks damn cool in this screenshot.. all in all, do catch the show. its worth the money!

mum's giving me her memoirs of a geisha book. that because she claims that the text is so small that she cannot read it. she's getting old. lol. and its been years since she's bought the book, yet she has only read a few chapters.
These are not memoirs of an empress... ... nor memoirs of a queen These are memoirs of another kind...
